Vince has not started any of his mushrooms yet but it’s that time of year when, after a little rain, mushrooms have popped up everywhere. They’re non-edible but they are interesting.
Purple Mushrooms
We have these almost every year but I love the purple mushrooms.

These are interesting. There’s almost like a little spider web down in the middle of all of them.

These are all ripply and kinda lacy along the edges.
It’s odd that we don’t see mushrooms, then it rains and almost within hours, they are everywhere.

I’ve been getting some kind of ugly yellowish ones in my flower pots. Will have to take a pic next time they pop up.

I’ve never seen a purple mushroom ever in my life. I had mushrooms today at my house too. There were some black ones I’ve never seen. But my favorite is the bright orange with red dots. They get huge about 6 inches across. Can’t wait till Vince gets his started so we can watch the progress .

I have never seen a purple mushroom. It is really pretty! Wonder if that is the one that gives you hallucinations?

Such a nice variety. I like those crinkly ones. They remind me of “Ruffles have ridges.” =)
