Rita had a tummy ache last night and kept tossing and turning and grunting and squirming. We went outside four times between midnight and 2 a.m. She just walked around like she was wondering why I was making her go outside. Finally, about 3 a.m., she threw up (sorry . . gross, I know!) and then she was able to go to sleep and I was able to go to sleep but I was awake about 5:30. Rita’s still sleeping.
Nicole called and she’s sick. I wish I was there to help her. Speaking of being there, there are two places I’ve found in MO that I want to see when I’m there. The one I like best is on a corner. It isn’t a busy corner but it’s on the outskirts of town and I can imagine noisy cars and trucks turning that corner and being loud. We’re so used to quiet in the country, I don’t think that one will work for us. The other one has been for sale for over 300 days and I’m thinking that’s not a good sign. I can see what looks like significant cracks in a concrete back porch and can’t tell from the pictures if it’s a separately poured porch or if it’s part of the house foundation so I feel like I’m back to square 1 with looking for a place there. I wrote our realtor on Sunday with some questions, she saw my note but never wrote anything back to me. I wrote our CPA on Monday with some questions and haven’t head back from her. Makes you wonder if this MO house deal is just not meant to be.
Today is cloudy and cool. Vince said it will start raining around 10. I wonder . . if it’s raining and he can’t work his 2 hours outside, do I get to take the day off too since my chores are all inside? Probably not . . since the second load of laundry is already going.
With the rain and lack of sleep last night, I see a nap in my future for today. It’s going to be a lazy Friday around here. We do have to go to town at some point and bring those eggs I had planned to bring when we went to town on Wednesday.
Other than than, I hope to get some knitting done – maybe decide on yarn for my “knitting experience”.

I had lunch out with hubby and promptly came in to take a nap. So unusual for me. It didn’t last long when thunder woke me. Oh well!

I hope it turned into a nice day and Rita is recovered, and you had a nap. Finding a house, even a small one for now and then, is a complicated process, isn’t it?
