A blog reader commented that cats like the person who is feeding them. That makes sense. Before Vince retired . . back when I had all day to myself . . remember those days? Well, I was the one who fed Cat every day and now Vince has been feeding her. The reader suggested I take her little snacks throughout the day.
I opened a can of sardines and put one in her bowl. She licked it and licked it and ate about half of it. I was saying “Cat . . clean your plate! Vince is going to see this!”
She didn’t! He walked over to the shop, past her bowl and he came back in and said “There’s something in Cat’s bowl and it is NOT cat food!
Me: It’s a sardine.
Vince: How did she get a sardine?
Really, Vince . . how do you think she got it. Maybe out of the sardine pond out behind the shop??
Me: I put it in her bowl.
Vince: Why?
Me: I’m doing an experiment.
Vince: What kind of experiment?
Me: Just a cat experiment.
You can bet that some time today he’s going to ask me again why I gave her a sardine. I am not going to tell him the whole story. He’ll be sneaking her all kinds of treats and I’ll never win her over!

That’s a retort I would have said. LOL. Hope you can win cat over. Fussy little thing.

Here is my theory on cats…if Cat knows you are trying to win her over, she will avoid you. If you act like you don’t care, she will try to win you over. Cats seem to love me and I’m not a cat person. I think the food thing is a sure thing with dogs, but cats? Not so sure!

you are sneaky, but I don’t blame you.
