Poor pig . . even the critters didn’t come back last night to try to get the ham.
Vince is totally doing this one on his own. I wonder if it will make him think twice about the food type stuff he buys. Today he said “Can you believe that thing has to cook for 5 hours?” Yes! I can believe it. I did the first two.
I’m anxious to watch him do all the slicing, putting it in bags and vacuum sealing it . . while I knit.
I’m liking retirement more and more! 🙂

Keep at him to help with the cooking! When DH first retired, he would stand next to my at my busy sewing machine and ask what I had planned for lunch. So I would ask him, what he had planned for lunch. He soon got the hint that if I was busy, he should make the meal, and call me when it was ready! He enjoys cooking because he enjoys eating! Now he does half of the work in the kitchen, leaving me more time for my hobbies, and having time for his!

LOL You are too bad! But that is ok!

I’d also make sure every piece is Sharpie-marked as “Vince’s Ham”.

I love a good country ham, although I don’t know if I would eat that one lol. I cook mine in the evening by boiling it in the oven. It’s very easy and it’s ready to come out the next morning to cool down.

How did the ham turn out? Anyone dare taste it? Inquiring minds need to know!
