Another Harness

Thanks so much to those of you who recommended Dachshund Delights for ordering a harness for Rita. I ordered a harness for her and it arrived today.

This one is so perfect for her. I was able to give them her neck and chest measurements, explained that she’s a chunky chihuahua and they called me for a couple more measurements.

Vince ordered three from Amazon. The one that fit her the best had the clankingest leash hooks. When she shook herself, it sounded like 20 tin cans clanging together. It scared her half to death and usually made me jump. Last night when Vince took it off her, she was in a panic as long as he was holding it. In the mornings, she’s always happy to get up. This morning, before she ever got out of bed, she must have remembered “the harness” because she went right back under the covers and didn’t want to get up. So, we put on a harness that didn’t fit quite as well but it wasn’t noisy and she was just ok with that one. We only used it when we were going outside but the mail lady brought the one from Dachshund Delights. It fits perfectly, makes no noise, is easy to get on and off. I’m tempted to order another one just as a backup.

Vince was impressed with it.

Vince: How much did you pay for it?
Me: Not telling.
Vince: Was it more than $40?
Me: No.
Vince: Order another one!

I could make one but it isn’t worth it. I’ll gladly pay someone else to make it. An example of it’s not hard if you enjoy doing it.
