I’m feeling like a granny! The Chrome Book arrived yesterday. I want to get used to it. I love the size and weight. I got a 14″ so it isn’t as tiny as some Vince has. I’m used to having a numbers pad on my notebooks and this one doesn’t have it. I could have gotten one with it but figured if we do get a place in MO and I’m going back and forth often, and the place there will probably be smaller than this place, a smaller, lighter version would be better. Without the numbers pad, I feel like my right hand is hanging off the edge and have had the hardest time keeping my hands on the right keys. I’m used to using a Google tablet so being familiar with the apps helps. It’s just keeping my fingers on the right keys that keeps tempting me to grab the old notebook but I want to get used to this one so I’m going to stick with it.
Since I’m used to having touchscreen on the tablets and on my notebook, I opted for that and am happy I did. This little thing is so tiny, I feel like i’m playing with a toy!
Please be patient with me if I make more typos than usual!

We have been thinking about getting one for traveling. Our only hesitation is the operating system. Is it true it doesn’t run Windows? I am going to follow your journey to see if it might be an option for us.

LOL I am having some of the same trouble with my HP Pavilion!! I am so used to the key pad on the right side and all it has is the numbers at the top! I got so used to using a 10 key adding machine that I didn’t even have to look to hit the numbers!! I really like my new laptop.

My son uses one, but I’m sticking with apple. I do use Chrome browser for playing games, though. LOL

My kids get assigned one from school and a lot of their work is done on them using google classroom. The lack of a delete key drives me crazy.

Me too but after using the Chromebook for three days and not using the PC or notebook, I’m used to it already. It’s really hard to get used to that feature (or lack of feature) when going back and forth between having a delete key and not having it. The backspace key works in place of the delete key.
Today is the first day my fingers seem comfortable on the keyboard and I’m not having to constantly watch to make sure they’re on the right home keys.
