For knitters who may want a new lightweight cardigan pattern, Aki Cardigan may fit the bill!
This is a new pattern by Ambah O’Brien and it looks like a very wearable cardi. I haven’t made it but it looks like it should be fairly straightforward and easy to make.
It can be made using fingering weight yarn or with laceweight, holding two strands together.
Those are two laceweight yarns I ordered from Eat, Sleep, Knit. There’s a chance I could change my mind and use something else. The Malabrigo Lace is a good bit lighter than is the Shibui Lunar used in the pattern. I’ll swatch and it may mean going up a size in order to get the right fabric and a good fit. I won’t know til I swatch!
One thing to think about if you plan to make this – on some of the pictures, it looks shorter than in other pictures so either there are some really tall people or some really short people modeling the finished projects. I ordered a bit extra yarn to make mine a bit longer if needed . . and I’m pretty short.
