Yesterday look who I found in the fig tree. He had to really look just to find a couple of ripe figs and those two may be the end of the figs for this year.
This will give you some indication as to how big that tree is. He’s standing up and it towers over him. You can also see where the weeds are green around the fig tree where we watered and everything else is pretty much dead.
Every year about August 1 the fig tree stops producing and takes about a month off and then by mid-September we start getting ripe figs again and they last til the first frost. This year, it was about the middle of August before it stopped and as of now, there aren’t any new figs, not even tiny green ones, on the tree. I’m thinking either it isn’t going to produce a late crop at all or they’re going to be so late that they don’t have time to get ripe before a freeze takes them out.
It’s been a good year and I have quite a few figs that are freeze dried so I’m not complaining about that tree!

I don’t know anything about fig trees cause I don’t care for them but your tree looks more like a bush type plant. If you ever get a chance could you take a picture of it and put it on here for us in the know people. Thanks.

This has been an odd year. I would have expected greener grass with all the rain – or was this a pre-rain picture?
