In the past few days, we’ve had about 1.5″ of rain and looks like we could get a bit more.

The poor chickens had been just hanging out close to the coop and not wandering around but with the cooler temps and rain, they’re back to running around chasing bugs.

It’s hard to get them all to be still for a photo so please excuse the blurriness of some of them.
I think the humans in this area re enjoying the rain too!

How nice that it perked up the chickens, as well as plants! We had a couple days where it didn’t reach 80 here, which was a nice respite, but we’re on our way back to summer. (Labor day is NOT the end of summer here!)
I just read that the San Diego weather station has recorded a mere 3.5 inches of rain since last October 1. I think our semi- is becoming full-desert!

I know I am enjoying it!! I love the rain! At around 4 the temp here was 79.9 and getting cooler!! I am loving this!!

AWESOME! Glad you finally got some. We got HAMMERED today with over 2.75″ in my gauge. The creek around the corner was like the raging rapids!! HA

Fabulous! I can imagine everyone is affected positively by cooler temps and rain, just like the chickens. Maybe they will lay a few more eggs during this time. =)
