I’m Not Getting My Hopes Up

But . . I am getting my hopes up!

Last week Vince called a guy he knew in Nevada who is a realtor and told him what we were looking for as far as a little place to stay there when visiting Chad. Vince said . . without my prompting “We’ll probably be there close to half the time!” Oh, yeah! I love the sound of that.

Vince told the guy that he doesn’t want to close until after the first of the year but just to keep his eyes open for us. Today, the guy called Vince and told him he was going to send him an email with a place about 20 miles from Chad. He said he thought the guy would rent it to us til after the first of the year. Vince hadn’t seen the email yet but he asked the guy about the price. He told him it was somewhere between “x and y”. I immediately got on Realtor.com and there was a house in that range. I showed it to Vince, who was in the middle of something else on his computer, and I said “I hope it’s this one!” Vince said “Oh, I doubt it’s that one!”

But . . it is!

The realtor is getting more info on it now . . how much rent . . what portion of rent payments would apply to purchase price . . when can we take possession.

I want so badly to send pictures but I’m not .. I’m just going to keep my fingers crossed and ask you to keep yours crossed too!
