Unless I catch them on sale, I don’t normally buy beef short ribs because they’re so expensive. We were at United recently and they had three packages that looked great and were “sell by today” so they were marked down so I grabbed them.
My favorite short ribs take a while to make but it’s not really labor intensive. I seasoned them then browned them in a bit of olive oil, then removed them to a baking pan.
In the same oil, I sauteed veggies – onions, carrots, celery and chili peppers.
Remember when I found my old wine sauce recipe? I used that to make a sauce and baked them for several hours.
I grabbed a bottle of wine and made my sauce.
Ribs and zucchini with onions for lunch. It was delicious!
