Poor Rita. I think she’s frustrated with us. Her little pink harness is getting a bit threadbare and it’s actually too tight so we stopped by AgMart to find her a new harness. We tried on every one they had there and none of them fit. Let’s just say her neck is way smaller than her chest and nothing fit right. If it fit in the chest, it was so big around the neck that I was afraid it wasn’t safe . . she might get it caught on something or get her leg through it when scratching. So, we ended up getting a collar til we can find a harness that fits her.
We tried to take her out and she will not take one single step with the leash on the collar. We’ve put her old harness back on and she’s content.
She is definitely a creature of habit and I think the harness made her feel secure. We measured her neck and her chest and we’ve ordered three harnesses from Amazon, hoping at least one of them will fit her and . . that she’ll adjust to the feel of the new harness. Poor girl!

You can sew and knit but are going to buy her one?
Judy Laquidara says
Knitting would be too stretchy and no, I’m not going to sew one. Eventually we’ll find one that fits her.
Twyla says
I am with Rita I do not like change. (grocery stores, etc.)
Dorothy Matheson says
I have taken the neck area on the harness for my sons dog with my sewing machine by making darts in the neck area. Now he does not get his foot through the neck or pull himself out backwards from it. Just took a few minutes.
