We had a pleasant trip to the vet in Abilene. We told them we’d drop Rita off about 10. We were actually a few minutes early but we dropped her off and went to T. J. Maxx. We had planned to have a nice lunch, then go by Sam’s Club. Vince wanted to go by the Dollar Store . . don’t ask me why . . we have those here and I was going to protest that stop anyway.
But, while we were at T. J. Maxx, my phone rang and it was the vet’s office. Rita was ready! She’d had her annual checkup, her shots, her eyes checked, her nails trimmed, her glands expressed. The vet closes from 12 – 1 for lunch and it was about 10:45 so we checked out at T. J. Maxx, grabbed chicken from Chick-Fil-A, and went and picked her up. We were there by 11:45 and back home by 2.
She did what she always does when riding in the car with Vince . . say a prayer! 🙂
Her eye pressure was about the same as it was last month . . not great but the vet doesn’t believe she’s in pain. This was one of the few trips to the vet that I didn’t leave in tears.

So cute! Glad to hear you had a better visit this time…so hard to deal with aging pets.

Thank God she is holding her own. I pray this works for her. She would certainly be praying if it was me driving!!

That position is just too cute!

No change is a good thing today. I’ve never known a dog to lie on her back as much as Rita does!
