This morning I felt very free . . all three Camp Loopy projects were done on time; I’m done with Eat, Sleep, Knit’s Yarnathon. I’ve met the goal I set out to meet. I am free to work on anything I choose to work on for the next four months. This is the time of year when I always tell myself that next year I am not doing the Yarnathon or Camp Loopy but as soon as the “rules” are announced, I’m scrambling to get started. I do love a challenge and those things keep me working towards the finish line.
So . . what shall I work on today? UFO’s or start something new?
Carrick Bend is really calling my name. I was so tempted to order some Miss Babs Killington, which is what this pattern recommends, but that’s no way to bust this stash so I’ll do a bit of stash diving later this morning. I have Madelinetosh Pashmina and Tosh Sport that will work. I just need to figure out what color of stash yarn I want to use.
I’d really like to finish a couple of UFOs. There are so many .. it’s kinda ridiculous so maybe I’ll make myself finish two UFOs before starting anything new.
There’s no telling what I might do but at least it will be something of my choosing and not something I HAVE to get done to meet a deadline. That’s a good feeling.

Finishing always feels so good! Today I’m working toward finishing all the rug hooking on Red Primrose. My next goal will be binding the edge. Yes, there are eight other works in progress that are patiently waiting on me. I’m determined to finish everything before starting anything else. Best of luck on your Works in Progress!

I know how you feel, I just finished my quilt for PIQF on Monday, since then I have finished three quilts that I had waiting in the wings. It is a free feeling! I am waiting on the release of Shawl society III number four, tomorrow.

I wonder why we do that to ourselves. I do the same thing with quilt designs. I’m going to try NOT to do it when all the ones I’m committed to (committed by me to me – I could quit!) are finished. On the plus side, though, you finished some beautiful things!
