I’ve come across a couple of cardigan patterns that I really love.
The first is Roosevelt Cardigan. I have Queensland Kathmandu 100 and Madelinetosh Chunky, both of which should work without me having to buy yarn.
Another pattern I haven’t purchased yet but keep going back to just purchased is Carrick Bend. It uses sport weight and while I’d love to try Miss Babs Killington, I don’t have any of it and I do have Madelinetosh Sport and Madelinetosh Pashmina that should work.
I’m pretty determined to use yarn I have here. Now that the chance of eventually moving from TX to Missouri has gone from about zero to about 1% (thanks rattlesnake on the back porch), I really want to use what I have and not add anything to be moved. Even just a little yarn adds up!

Oh My Yes! When we moved across Texas I almost needed my own moving van just for the sewing room. I’ve even added more to it since then. Shhhh!!! Don’t tell my husband.

I really like the Carrick one, though both are nice. You do have plenty of yarn for emergencies. =)
Kay Sorensen says
You really better start using up what you have and not buying more with that 1 per cent increase in the chances of moving! Yet, you will have to move what you knit with the yarn you have!
Judy Laquidara says
I know . . it doesn’t make a lot of sense does it. Use the fabric and you have quilts to move. Use the yarn and you have knitted garments to move. Just can’t win, can I? 🙂
Alison says
I love Carrick, but wonder if the neckline is a bit wide?
Amy says
You can send any new yarn to my house. I’ll ship it to you once you move. ;0) LOL

I like both of those sweater patterns! I just ordered a book, so I really shouldn’t be buying patterns right now…
