There’s a little room off the dining room at Chad and Nicole’s that they really haven’t done anything with. I was sitting in the dining room on my computer and I thought . . that little empty room would be a great place for a desk for Addie. I never liked the idea of kids doing homework at the dining room table. Most of the time it’s around dinner time when they’re trying to get homework done and the dining area is often near enough the family room and kitchen that there are lots of distractions.
I mentioned it to Nicole and Chad about the desk idea and they thought it was great. We ordered this little desk for her.
She loves it! Nicole fixed up the electric plug for her tablet, we organized her colors and markers. She’s been sitting there every evening doing her coloring and drawing and cutting. We bought a pink lamp and a pink trash can.
She’s so proud of her little setup.

I love Addie’s new desk and chair. That pink lamp and trashcan are perfect. Her pretty smile makes me smile back. It will be a great place to do homework.

I hope this spurs her on to a lifetime love of learning.

You,mom and dad might think of getting a piece of glass cut for the writing part. They get markers everywhere and mes the tops up. Glass would save it. All they do is make a pattern and take to glass place and they will cut it. It is pretty cheap too. That way she can keep it looking nice for a long while till she out grows it.Just a thought.

That looks like a wonderful set up for her! Good idea about not using the dining table, too.
