Their Speck. He is the sweetest dog.
Addie was not quite three (I think) and Speck was so big and Addie was so tiny. But he’s always been the most amazing dog. She would mess with his ears, she would take food out of his mouth, she would trip over him and fall on him. He never growled or even acted like he was frustrated with her.
When I got here last weekend, I think he was happy to see me. He ran up to me and was excited to see me. I think our house is a bit too small for a dog that size but I love him.
They aren’t sure how old he is. The vet estimates he’s about 7. He’s turned into a good house do. It wasn’t always that way. I’m glad Addie has a big dog that she doesn’t have to be so fragile with.

A big dog is good protection for a little girl too. With all the crap going on the world today that’s a good thing.

He looks small for a shepherd in that picture, but I expect that’s having nothing to visually compare with him, and maybe angle of the shot. He has pretty markings.
