Vince wrote our senator and representative a couple of weeks ago about his social security/welfare IRMAA problems. I totally didn’t expect to hear anything back from either one of them, unless it was a form letter . . but I’m happy to say . . I was wrong.
Vince told me today that he’s heard back from both Rep. Conaway’s office and Senator Cruz’ office. I’m not exactly sure what Conaway’s office did but they did all Vince and tell him something. Cruz’ office actually talked to someone as social security and told him that that the IRMAA adjustments have been reduced and Vince will get a refund of the amounts he has overpaid for the past six months.
I’m glad they both responded to Vince’s plea for help.

We have always been told that a “Congressional” letter or note would get the job done. Glad your congressmen came through for you. I know that the military people do not like to get congressionals. Everything stops and that has to be handled ASAP.

I had problems years ago with getting a birth certificate change for my son so that we could get the military benefits for him. Within a week of contacting my representative’s office, I had the changed birth certificate. It’s amazing how fast these departments can work when they have an elected official calling them up!
