Addie and I were talking today about her blue eyes and blonde hair. I told her that when she was a baby, I never expected her eyes would still be so blue when she was 6 years old. She wanted to know how blue they are so I took a picture to show her.
Those blue eyes may help her out of some jams her mouth is going to get her into.
She was talking to me yesterday.
Me: Addie, you’re so lucky that your parents do so much with you and take you to such interesting places.
Adde: Not really. They don’t do much with me.
Me: Are you kidding? They plan their whole life around doing stuff for you!
Addie: No, they never want to get out my slip & slide and let me play with that.
Just proves that no matter what you do for kids, it’s never enough!

Hahaha! You are so right! However, when she’s grown and looks back on her life, she’ll realize what a special family she has, and will look back on it with pride. Her blue eyes are gorgeous! 🙂

ROFLOL! That poor, mistreated little girl … LOL!!! And yes – those EYES. Blue as blue can be with those dark lashes … and what you said just cracked me up (eyes getting her out of the jams her mouth gets her into – too funny!). I’m so happy you get to spend this time with them.

How short memory can be! LOL Who needs a slip and slide when you have the whole Gulf to play in? Addie, apparently. LOL

When my son’s family moved into their new home their kids(my grands) begged & begged for a swimming pool! A couple of years later they had a beautiful pool built that would be fun for kids & adults. The youngest grand wanted me to come see how she could swim. I did & complimented her on how will she swam. Then I said “You are so lucky to have this beautiful pool to use anytime your parents say it’s ok.” She looked at me as if I was crazy & said “No, grandma now there isn’t any room for our “slip and slide!”

Art Linkletter sure knew what he was saying when he said “Kids say the darnedest things”!
