My friend, Amy, sent me a message yesterday that Eri was now available for purchase. It had been published in Lane Magazine, which is right next to impossible for me to get, so I try to make a note to watch for the patterns to come out on Ravelry. Most of the patterns are released on Ravelry six months or a year after the magazine publication. As soon as I read Amy’s note, I purchased the pattern and read through it. I want to start it TODAY but I’ve told myself I’m going to see how I do with this weight loss because I don’t want the sweater to be too big so I’m going to wait til October 1 before I cast on. I should know by then whether I’m going to be successful with losing weight.
Then there’s the yarn diet. The yarn used for this pattern is Nature’s Luxury, On Stage. It’s 50% wool, 30% silk and 20% baby camel. The silk gives the yarn a bit of a sheen which causes those cables to really pop. I went ahead and ordered the yarn and the color I ordered is Mountains.
I was torn between purple and green but I think I’ll get more wear out of green.
Having this sweater waiting to be knitted makes me want to lose weight even more quickly!
