One thing I’ve always appreciated about Nicole is that she gives Addie chores and they get done.
Addie was probably 3 when Nicole had her helping with some of the easy chores.
Look at her go! I know I’ve said it before but that little family makes me very happy!

She’s very smart. Teach your kids to be self-sufficient and you’re doing them a favor. Too many parents these days think it’s horrible to make their kids “work,” so our society has become one of whiny, entitled kids that grow up thinking mommy and daddy will always be there to take care of them, so they don’t need to bother growing up and becoming responsible citizens. Thank God for parents like Nicole and Chad!!

It would wonderful if more parents were like that. It also helps a child grown into a responsible adult. The best part is Addie will teach her children to do the same thing.

Yay, Nicole! It’s good for children to have chores. When I was about Addie’s age, some of my jobs were to set the table, and do the dusting. (I still hate dusting…) I also remember helping my Mom and Grandma’s in the kitchen. Grandma’s are a lot more patient when you drop an egg on the floor…which I distinctly remember doing once. LOL

They are such a sweet family! I thought of you tonight. We very seldom go out to eat but tonight we went to La Batana to have Mexican food. There was a table with a family there and they had 3 little girls. The little girls all had headbands that were unicorn horns! Your Addie would love one of those!! I almost asked them where they got them but decided not to! LOL

Good for them! That’s a great idea, and so often people wait until it’s a little late to form habits. She’s known from a young age that a home requires work from everyone in order to run smoothly!

This is awesome!!! I just spent the weekend with a group including a friend’s son and his wife and their two boys, ages 4 and 1. They were such great parents, hanging out with their kids, who were such fun. I loved their parenting style, very hands on. They’re getting ready to be deployed to Spain for 3 years. As we left last night I told them how much I enjoyed watching them parent their children, they’re not the hovering millenials that won’t let their kids breathe and have them scheduled every minute. It was a joy to be with them! Sounds like Chad and Nicole are the same way, God bless them!
