Last night I kept telling myself . . do not start another project! I can start the Camp Loopy August project today. I have the Casapinka mystery started. But, it was the call of the beads. I love beading projects. I got about halfway through Chart 1. There are six charts and each chart gets bigger. As of now, I have 103 stitches on the needles. By the time I’m done, I’ll have 493 stitches on the needles.
I did end up going with the gunmetal iris beads that I had kinda planned to go with. It’s kinda funny because with all the pictures, it looked different when my friend held it up a few feet from me. At that point, I realized any of the beads would work just fine. Nothing is in your face. For this project, I want just a hint of sparkle . . not an overpowering “beadiness”.
Today, my main goal is going to be to make some progress on my Camp Loopy project. I’m sure at some point, I’ll pick up Mystical Forest and knit a few rows.

I have trouble blocking (seem to stretch things), how would you block beaded? Love your beaded shawl.

This is going to be so beautiful, the prettiest thing you’ve done this year.
