Friday (and Saturday), we went to Walmart. I needed a lot of groceries on Friday. When we got home, I said “I’ll take the cold stuff and put it up.” I like to put the foods we’re need to eat this week all together in the least used fridge (sewing room) so they don’t get buried and not used. I took all the cold stuff to the sewing room and he took all the other groceries in the house. The next day . .
Me: Where did you put the other groceries?
Vince: I put them up.
He NEVER puts anything up!!
Me: Where did you put them?
Vince: Nodding towards the kitchen . . in there.
Me: I start looking in a few cabinets and didn’t see the canned tomatoes, the Ranch dressing mix, the Rotel tomatoes . . Can you give me some specifics about where you put them?
Vince: I don’t remember! Look on the floor by the dining table.
Me: OK. Some are there but there are more.
Vince: Look by the bar stools.
Yes, bags of groceries in the dining room and by the bar stools. That’s exactly what I would have expected him to do but how did he get the idea that he had put them up??
Sometimes no help at all is best. 🙂

The next time he asks you to carry stuff in for him, you’ll know just what to do…..
Laura says
Setting groceries on the floor does not constitute putting them up! 😉

I have finally come to the conclusion that I should bring in a bag with frozen stuff and send hubby after everything else. I get the frozen stuff put away while he brings in two – three bags. I put that away while he bring a in the next bags and so on. It works as long as he holds out!

He put them DOWN not UP. I’m disappointed an engineer doesn’t know the difference! LOL

Most men only use the left side of their brain and that is actually what you are dealing with.

You’re lucky!! The only help I ever get from my hubby is when I ASK HIM to help bring them in from the car. Sometimes they make it to the kitchen, but not always. And he says he doesn’t know where to put things, so he doesn’t even attempt putting them away, for which I’m very happy!! 🙂

That is too funny! At least he can still help you. Pat can’t lift anything. He is going to Dr. Hogan and he is helping him a lot. He can’t use much of anything on him but there is one procedure he can do (with the defibrillator) that won’t hurt him. Even the infra red heating pad says you can’t use it wit this device! Bummer!!

That cracked me up!
