Vince took some of the irrigation tubing and some of the misters that snap in and made a better misting area for the chickens.
They don’t seem interested. They will probably stand out in the yarn and die of heat stroke before standing under the cool mist.
I threw out some tomatoes that have really tough skins from the heat thinking they’d eat the yummy tomatoes that had been in the fridge, they would feel how nice the cool mist felt and they’d stay there. Nope. They want no part of anything new. They even left to cold tomatoes in the dirt.
The chickens don’t have to love it but I can tell you that it’s just high enough that I can get misted from about the neck down when I walk by it and I’ve taken advantage of it several times already today!

Nobody ever accused a chicken of being smart! 🙂 BTW, I finally got the bread out of the oven and hubby and I each had a piece. I was amazed at how big the loaf is, but it’s tasty, so I’m not going to complain. I was going to take a picture to send to you, but with the great freshly-baked-bread smell I completely forgot about getting a picture and we just dug in! It turned out looking good and tasty! Thanks for the recipe! It’s a keeper!! 🙂

Ok, I had to giggle a little bit! Best typo ever. ..the chickens will stand out in the yarn”…..my first thought was, “why would you put yarn in the chicken coop?” Then I realized what you meant… 🙂
