The sunset here was so pretty tonight.
I was just headed out to put the chickens up and saw it so I grabbed my camera and was able to get a few pictures.
Seeing something so gorgeous at the end of a miserably hot day speaks to me and makes me feel ashamed for complaining. The universe is in bigger hands than mine and I can’t pick and choose what good things I want and what bad things I don’t want.
Today in Walmart I struck up a conversation with the guy behind me in line and he was telling me that his garden and fruit trees failed this year too. He said he has several friends who always have good gardens and none of them had a good garden this year. I’m sorry for them but at least it wasn’t just me.
Tomorrow is a new day . . another scorcher for sure, but it will be a good day. Maybe I’ll be up in time to see the sun rise, or maybe I’ll knit late into the night and sleep til I hear the chickens squawking!

Beautiful thoughts, Judy. I miss sunsets. There is an occasional one here, but mostly, especially this year, the afternoon sun fades into hazy cloudiness and I just shut the blinds. Thanks for sharing your beauty!

Gorgeous sunsets is one of the things I absolutely love where I live in Phoenix. We are out of the city enough to have very pretty ones. Even though the evenings are pretty warm (okay some might say hot), my husband and I sit outside taking pictures. If you visit my page, you’ll see many, many sunsets!

Beautiful sunset. I love watching them also. Not so much sunrises. I am so not a morning person!!! Those colours in your photo would go well together in a quilt.
