It was probably Saturday when I finished the main part of my Camp Loopy July project. It’s a shawl. The pattern is Jurata. I knew the border was going to take some time but, oh, my goodness . . it’s taking forever!
This project will definitely benefit from a good blocking. With each row of the border, you pick up one edge stitch on the shawl. I think I still have 14 more border repeats to go. I’ve done 5. I’m hoping to be able to do 3 per day. That will still get me finished in plenty of time before the deadline.
I’m so ready to be done with this project. That’s never a good feeling. If this weren’t for Camp Loopy, I would put this aside to finish it later and you know . . for me . . later never comes!

Oh Judy, hang in there!! Its beautiful and when its done you can wear it with pride, besides its too hot in Texas now to be outdoors right now.
Nelle Coursey says
This is beautiful!
Rieann Mann says
Judy, I think this is the prettiest project I have seen you making, it is exquisite! Waiting with bated breath to see it finished. Rieann in cold wintry Western Australia.
Susan says
Good thing it’s for Camp Loopy. =) It is beautiful and will only get prettier.
Karen says
I love that shawl. I think I’m going to move it up on my ‘to do’ list. That list is starting to look like a ‘leap frog’ game!
Judy Laquidara says
When I first looked at the pattern, there were several things I didn’t know how to do and almost decided to make something else. I’m glad I didn’t. It’s rather time consuming – especially the border, but it’s going to be so worth it.
Andrea says
That border does look tedious, but it will be worth it. It’s gorgeous!
