While I was searching for something western themed for my Camp Loopy project, I came across the Little House on the Prairie books.
I remembered how much I had loved those books so I called Nicole and asked her if Addie had the and she didn’t so I ordered the set. I would like to have purchased the hard cover books but they were way expensive so I got the paperback set.
I told Nicole I want these books to be the books I read to her when I’m there. We can read them over and over if she likes them and it won’t be long til she can read them to me!

What a great series of books. My grandson was reading Farmer boy and on vacation they went to the childhood home of Almanzo Wilder in upstate NY. He won some postcards because he was able to answer questions! My daughter was a fanatic of the book series.

Oh, I loved the Little House books. I’m sure Addie will, too.

I’ve just introduced my granddaughter (almost 11) to the Trixie Belden books that I loved as a youth and even as an adult. My daughter loved them, and we reread them again as adults. Now the third generation has started, and LOVED the first three books. Now I need to read the next 3 this week before sending them for daughter and granddaughter to reread and read! I may not be too productive otherwise this week. Got a cute pix of the three of us on a bed reading the books. 🙂 Wishing you and Addie the same pleasure!

I got hooked on Laura Ingalls Wilder in 5th grade when my teacher read “Little House in the Big Woods” to our class. She used to read for 30 minutes after lunch every day. Since then, I’ve read and re-read those books many times. I can’t wait to start reading them to my granddaughter. I hope she loves them as much as I did!!

I hope Addie isn’t too young for the series.

I’m sure she’ll love having them read to her. Then you’ll have to plan a trip to DeSmet, SD, the home of Laura Ingalls Wilder. They do a pageant all summer and you can tour the home. It’s pretty cool.
