Remember week before last when I had hurt my right arm? A few meds and it was better quickly but then my left side started hurting .. not so much my arm but the upper left side of my neck (back and front), the back side of my shoulder . . it was really hurting and had been for about four days but was getting worse. Last night I couldn’t even sleep and nothing keeps me from sleeping so I knew it was serious.
Today I went to the doctor, got two shots and an Rx. If it isn’t better by Thursday, I have to get a shot in that muscle area. He said he thinks I probably slept wrong while my right arm was hurt and it’s just gotten worse so hopefully I’ll be better by tomorrow.
The blog posts may be a bit sporadic til I’m doing something besides sleeping 24/7.

Have you tried a TENS unit? Works wonders. I know you can purchase them on Amazon as low s under $40.

The doctor’s idea sounds logical to me. We do tend to avoid making things hurt!

Just mentioning out of concern and an over abundance of caution but, did your doctor consider a heart issue? Women don’t experience heart pain the same ways/places as men. And if all that has been ruled out, would a nice deep tissue massage help relax the kinks and bring some relief? Sorry to hear you’re in pain again. 🙁

You might want to have your heart checked out too. You sound like could have some heart issues Yes women have different systoms and some people and doctors pass it off. Not telling you this to scare you just be careful.

Sure seems like if it’s not one thing it’s another, doesn’t it? Hope you feel better soon!

No advice from me. I don’t play doctor! I just hope you’ll feel better soon.

I had a problem with my shoulder, so I started sleeping on the other side. Then that side got as bad. The doctor thought it was a rotator cuff issue. He told me to try to think of any different I had done to have started the problem. A few nights later, I’m trying to go to sleep, when it hit me…….I bought new pillows. I went back to my old pillow and within a few days I could tell my shoulders were getting better. Four weeks later, I had a deep tissue and hot stone massage and I was good a new. Who would have thought that the pillow I had been using for 30 some odd years was the answer.

I’d agree with the massage, and would add a visit to your chiropractor.

Seriously Judy, you need to get Vince to drive you to Abilene to the ER! This could be your heart. I have been in enough health/safety classes to know women have some of these symptoms when they are having heart problems. Don’t mess around here! We don’t want to lose you! It would be better to be embarrassed if it is nothing than to be sorry and it really is something bad. Abilene Regional is as good as Hendricks!

Oh no! Please take care, do what’s necessary! I hope you heal quickly!
