Some days I almost feel like a lazy wife. Maybe “lazy” isn’t the word . . maybe it’s more pre-occupied with things I’d rather do than cooking.
Dinner tonight was brisket street tacos.
Storebought tortillas, brisket from the freezer. I did make fresh guacamole. I also brought over a jar of the freeze dried onions to put on top and totally forgot to use them.
It’s so nice to have dinner ready in about 10 minutes and then I can get back to sewing or knitting.
Our Hobby Lobby opened last week and we haven’t been. I was in town today and Vince was in town also and neither of us went by Hobby Lobby. About 3:30, he said “Do you want to run to town and check out Hobby Lobby and get tacos?” It’s “Taco Tuesday” at Taco Casa. I said “Nope. I’d rather have brisket tacos at home and not leave the house again.” He said “Good!” 🙂

Happy to go, happy to stay. Can’t beat that. These look good, though, better than any place I know around here, and there are a lot of Mexican restaurants in E. TN. Go figure. =)

Smart move! I like to give new stores a few days before I go. There are usually way too many people there when they first open up!
