These little 3″ squares look easy enough to make but . . I have to make 224 of them!
This is one of those simple little blocks that just works better for me if I paper piece it. That way, every little block should be exactly the same. 224 blocks to make. 224 blocks to remove the paper off the back!
With these border blocks and the partial quarter square triangles to get made, I don’t think I’ll be sewing blocks together this week.

Love reading about your quilting! Can you maybe show the back of one of the paper pieced units so I can get an idea of what it is like. Do you copy the pattern onto tissue paper or what? Do you have to sew each one at a time or is there a way to sew all of one seam, iron, then sew all of another seam. Not sure if I am clear about what I am asking! Thanks!

Teri, yes you can chain-piece paper foundation piecing. Peggy Martin wrote two books about it; perhaps you can find something on-line with those ^ words to search with.

It’s very easy to chain piece. I’ll usually piece increments of 10 at a time. Once you start doing it, I think it will all make sense.

So glad you have started quilting again. You just about lost me with the knitting as I no longer knit, hate cooking and had to quit gardening.

It’s going to be a happy quilt, definitely!
