Last night I stayed up til almost 2 a.m. weaving in the ends. It still isn’t blocked but here it is! Blocking will open the design way up and make prettier but for now . . it’s done. Blocking will come later.
It’s so sunny every day that it’s hard to get a picture during the day so, I did the best I could.
I love the “clouds” in the back.
I’m calling it a parallelogram. I don’t know if that’s what it is or not.
Me: Vince, is this a parallelogram?
Vince: Why do you want to know?
Me: I’m writing a blog post and I want to call it a parallelogram.
Vince: You can call it that if you want.
Me: But is it really a parallelogram.
Vince: I guess it could be.
I’m sure someone way more versed in geometric shapes will correct me if I’m wrong since my engineer husband apparently retired his brain when he retired from work! I know he knows what shape that is but he’s doing something else and doesn’t want to deal with my questions now. According to his advice, I can call it a circle if I want to call it a circle.
Anyway . .
Dimensions:
From point to point on each long side is 45″. The width is 16″ and that isn’t blocked.
Yarn:
Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light. The lighter green is Librarian’s Dream, the off white is Horn and the darker green is Joshua Tree.
Pattern:
Walking on Clouds
My Thoughts:
The pattern is so easy! It’s mindless too. I could have knit this entire project while carrying on a conversation or, if knitting while at my knitting group, carrying on five or more conversations at once! The piece is very wearable (just not during the summer in Texas!). It’s technically a wrap and can be wrapped around your upper body or scrunched a bit and worn as a big wrapped cowl type thing around your neck.
I gave the pattern 5 stars at Ravelry. The pattern was very easy to read and follow.
The Camp Loopy June project is done with three days to spare. Way too close for my comfort zone but with having been sick for over a week early in the month, Vince retiring June 1 and us trying to adjust to our new life, and getting the freeze dryer last week, I’m happy to have it finished!

I have knitted in the past and some currently, but I have never blocked. I’m hoping sometime you might write about why and how to block. Thanks In Advance!

It’s simply soaking the knitted piece, sopping as much water out as you can using towels (do not wring), then lay it out and shape it as needed, using pins or blocking or wires to create thee shape you want.

It is gorgeous!

Really pretty, what a great thing to know how to do. A parallelogram is a rectangle where you push one side so it leans over. The top and bottom sides are straight and parallel. The two sides are leaned over but still parallel to each other. Kinda like this: /__/ only with the top closed in with a line. LOL
