We love homemade sauerkraut. I’ve been making it in our big crock.
That crock is really big and heavy and we just don’t have the setup for it here. The house is too small. I don’t have a good place to clean it outside. Without a basement, it has to sit in the middle of the house while fermenting. We aren’t making as much sauerkraut as we need to be making.
This morning a blog reader was chatting with me and told me about this little fermenting box.
It doesn’t look real impressive but it has good ratings and I’m anxious to be able to make smaller quantities of kraut.
So, you see . . it’s not always me causing the blog readers to buy things but sometimes it’s the blog readers causing me to buy things! 🙂

I have an old crock and I use it to store birdseed.. The feeders are in the front yard, so this is a nice “table” for my chair on the porch. So far, no animals have tried to get into it.

LOL – so glad I could oblige! I think you’ll like it! I love mine. I have the older version – they didn’t have that fancy lid when I bought mine. But it works great! I’m sure you’ll love it!
