About 7 p.m. the second load should finish in the freeze dryer. I’ll unload it, defrost it and get it loaded up again.
Tray #1, left side, is leftover crack chicken. I kinda “perforated” it, hoping it will break apart along those lines. Some pieces are larger than others. Some will be our meat dish, served with veggies. The smaller portions will go on top of baked potatoes.
Tray #2, right side, is the Stuffed Pepper Casserole I made and froze the leftovers last week.
This was our lunch today. Scalloped potatoes, there are two meatloaves there, rolls and borlotti beans.
Tray 3, on the left, is scalloped potatoes.
Tray 4, on the right, is meatloaf.
You know what Vince said to me today as I was making all this food? He said “At least getting the freeze dryer has got you to cooking!” When have I ever NOT cooked?? Sometimes I wonder about him!

Make him read your blog! At least half of the posts are about meals you are making! He doesn’t know how good he has it.

It seems to me you cook something every day – something that requires preparation. He’s lucky he doesn’t live with me. I almost NEVER cook!
Rebecca in SoCal says
Oh, Vince…you really don’t know how good you have it, do you?
Judy, I’m picturing you with question marks floating over your head, like a cartoon. That’s a stumper!

Men are definitely “memory impaired”!!!!!!!

Now that Vince is retired he should share the cooking duties. That seems to quiet the cooking comments at my house. 🙂
Judy Laquidara says
I’ve thought about that but Vince does so much outside work around here. I surely don’t want to insist he take over half the inside chores and that would mean I would have to take over some of his outside chores. I think we have it pretty good the way it is.

You have my permission to smack that man upside the head…in a most kind and loving way. 🙂 He definitely needs it! LOL
