Seven days left in June. Seven days left to get my Camp Loopy project finished and submitted. Can I do it? Will I do it?
I told myself on Monday if I did 12 rows per day, I would get it done. I’m not sure I’ve done 12 rows all week. It was a rather ambitious attempt to knit 1,000+ yards in one month. When I decided to take on that project, I didn’t know that (1) I’d get sick and sleep through the entire first week of June or (2) I’d get a freeze dryer and play with it the entire last 10 days of June. Oh, and (3) that my interest in quilting would return and I’d machine quilt an 81″ x 100″ quilt top, buy EQ8, design a quilt for Addie and start piecing it.
A bit of calculating when I should be knitting . . I have 96 rows left. It takes me about 4 minutes per row. That’s 384 minutes, or 6.4 hours left. Piece of cake! I think I’ll go sew for a while and then come back and knit. In theory, I should be able to finish it if I only knit one hour per day but my goal is to knit 2.5 hours today, 2.5 hours Monday, and finish it on Tuesday. According to my math challenged brain, I think I need to do about 37 rows per day to be finished by the end of the day Tuesday. Don’t check my math. If I’m wrong, I don’t want to know.
I can do this.

Judy, I’m so glad your quilting mojo has returned, but please finish your June Loopy Ewe project. You’ll be so happy when you meet that goal, and the quilts and fabric aren’t going anywhere. They also have no deadlines. You can do it!

I have a time saving suggestion (although a little sarcastic)…maybe Vince could make lunch (I hear sandwiches don’t count) and you’d have that time to knit…

Love that idea but I don’t think that’s going to fly.

It takes a while to adjust to retirement. My husband never went grocery shopping with me, for example, and the first couple trips were not much fun. If I’ve been doing it for 46 years without his help, I think I’m good. He is getting better though. It’s a process.

You can do this! Bring it Tuesday and we will be quiet while you work 😉 Yeah I am laughing too! Not going to happen! You know we will still be laughing and talking Tuesday and may be louder than usual because we don’t have to tone it down for the Coffee Shop crowd! LOL
Judy Laquidara says
I would be worried if we were ever quiet! 🙂

You are actually OVER how many you need per day, so you should be fine and easy! Now, I need to know. If I don’t finish, do I call Loopy Ewe and pay the 15% they discounted? This has been a busy month here, too, and nothing has gone as expected, really.
