I had homemade yogurt in the fridge and I wanted to add a bit of sugar and some strawberries and freeze dry it all.
Homemade yogurt is about the best thing I’ve ever made and it’s so easy in the Instant Pot. I have three Instant Pots and today, all three of them are going to be used. I’m making Crack Chicken in a big one, yogurt in a big one and will cook rice in the mini. I think of all my kitchen gadgets, if I could only have one, it would be the Instant Pot. Of course, my new freeze dryer is in the sewing room so it doesn’t have to count as a kitchen gadget, right?
Sugar was added. Strawberries were chopped and added.
Then it was all poured into a freeze dryer tray and pre-frozen (which doesn’t HAVE to happen but it helps a bit with the freezing time).
I cannot wait to try this!

I love my instant pot also! Homemade yogurt is the only kind I will eat.

We use it as sour cream and as bases for salad dressings. I’m going to freeze dry some plain, then powder it and add milk or water when I want to reconstitute it and use it for salad dressings or sour cream.

I wouldn’t have thought about this, but it would definitely be a healthy snack. I love the Instant Pot I got for my son, but the rice always sticks. I’m doing something wrong, I suppose.

It looks wonderful!
