Seeing the picture of Vince out loading the freeze dryer yesterday made me think about so many years ago when he sent me a picture of himself in Australia. I wish I knew where that picture was now . . somewhere!
So many years have gone by! So many gray hairs have appeared!
Above is a picture of us . . all a whole lot younger and a whole lot thinner! I always loved when Vince wore white shirts. Look at Chad’s face. Mischief . . that’s all I see.
I don’t remember when this picture was taken . . probably 15 years ago. We were at my niece’s in Louisiana and having a crawfish boil. Vince’s hairline was receding but he hardly had any gray hair. My dad doesn’t look much different today.
I don’t realize how much we’ve changed til I see these old pictures. Life has been good and gets better every day!

Nice to relive memories from the past. Scary to see how fast time goes.

I love the picture, how fun it is to see! It makes me think of different photos from the past of my family when the children were young…

When Addie grows up and reads thru your blog, and she will, I am thinking she would enjoy seeing more pictures of you. Pictures of you wearing the beautiful shawls you make. Maybe you take them but don’t post those pics and that is fine too. I feel like I am stepping out of line a little here, but I wanted to encourage you to also take pictures of you. You in your garden, cooking, sewing, etc. Your ancestors will treasure those pics. How cool would it be for a great great grandchild to have something you make but also have a picture of you with the item.

I have a friend who labels every quilt and a picture of herself is on it so the grandchild/great grandchild will have that with other information about the quilt she has made for them. “They will know what I looked like when I made it!” is what she says. There usually are too few pictures of a mother/grandmother; she’s the one taking the picture!

I have an old picture of us…me, the hubster and our daughter when she was a year or so old. She of course was cute, I was thin, no gray hair and the hubster actually had a good head of hair. Time flies by and things change, but hey, looks like Vince always had a thing for green t-shirts. 🙂

I’m sad that not only did my mother dislike cameras so that there are very few family pictures, but I also married a man who HATES cameras! Very few memories except what’s in my mind around here.

The changes are so gradual until you see an old picture. =) Every gray hair has a memory!

Chad has the look that he is definitely up to something! And most likely something you would not like!!

Hey Judy, when was Vince in Australia and whereabouts was he?
