A very nice blog reader recommended the book, A Kissing Hand, for Addie. Oh, my goodness . . what a darling book!
Nicole, Addie and I were all in bed together reading Addie her bedtime story. I was reading A Kissing Hand and Nicole was going to read her another book. I got almost to the end and had to hand it to Nicole to finish reading so Addie wouldn’t know I was crying.
Not a book for me to try reading to her on my last night with her but such a cute book. It is a great book for kids that are apprehensive about going off to school but it’s also a great book for any time. I highly recommend it.

Used to read that book to my Pre-K and Kindergarten kids every year. I have a cookie cutter shaped like a had with the heart cut out of the palm. They all got to eat one and then take one home with them at the end of the day to share. Love that book.

Some of my students got that book as a gift when they came to University. It is truly for all ages.

If I remember correctly, there’s even a sequel to that book.

If you couldn’t get through that one, don’t buy “I’ll Love You Forever”, either. =)
