For making Adie’s dress, I brought my old Bernina 1230 sewing machine. I’ll leave it here and then bring back a serger when I come back to make the other two dresses.
Addie didn’t even know Ursula. The Little Mermaid came out in 1989. Chad was 2 and that was a movie he watched over and over for years. I explained to Addie that Chad was just a bit younger than she is when he put the Ursula sticker on my sewing machine. I told her she could put a couple of stickers on my machine.
Three more stickers have been added. These are paper stickers so I’m not sure they’ll still be on the machine 25 years from now. I’m not sure I’ll be sewing much 25 years from now.
I told Addie that when she has children, they can add stickers to my sewing machine. It’s possible I could end up with three generations having placed stickers on my machine. Probably not but it’s neat to have the stickers placed on the machine by Chad and now Addie.

You never know. I saw a video of a lady 106 who is still making those pillowcase dresses for little girls and quilting. Could happen that you are doing it in your 80s still. I hope I am!
