Chad was off today so we went to Joplin to get sushi, then had frozen custard. As always, it was a fun day and I cherish the time I get to spend with them.
This morning I put on my heart shirt and Addie decided she would wear her shirt to match. From there, deciding on pants was a big ordeal.
She first came out with spandex type pants that had hearts on them. Nicole told her it was going to be a hot day and she probably wanted to wear shorts. I was glad because the pants didn’t come close to matching the shirt. Lots of hearts . . but I wasn’t going to say anything.
Then she put on some pinky peach colored shorts but was sure they were too short and didn’t show under the shirt and changed again into longer denim shorts.
In the meantime, Nicole had straightened her own hair and Addie decided she wanted her hair straightened so Nicole did that.
Before we left, Addie found earrings she wanted to wear so she needed her hair pulled back so the earrings would show.
What an ordeal to get a 5 year old dressed and out of the house. It’s ok. It’s an ordeal I wish I could go through every day.

She is cute in any outfit or hair style. I will bet her mother wishes it were less of an ordeal to get her dressed and out though. I think grandmothers have more patience for that than parents do.

When she’s in princess mode, definitely! She’s adorable looking, though.
