You all know how much I dislike leaving home. I really would stay home forever and never leave if it were up to me.
Yesterday was knitting with my friends. We usually start about 10:30 a.m. I knew I had to leave about 11:15 for an eye doctor appointment so I almost talked myself into not going but I need that time with my friends. I had eggs to deliver so I loaded up 6 dozen eggs in the cooler, went to knitting, dropped off eggs, went to to the eye doctor appointment. Left there a few minutes earlier than I had planned so I stopped by the grocery store to get gas. That didn’t take long so I figured I’d run in and buy a few things. United had nice pork chops BOGO so I got those. Then I saw they had some “sell by tomorrow” veal on sale for half price so I got that. It was a good thing I had the cooler in the car with ice packs from delivering the eggs because I still had an appointment with the gastro and there’s always about an hour wait there.
She apologized over and over but I kept telling her . . it’s ok. I got to sit in the waiting room and knit!
Today it’s the same thing. We have errands to run and there are at least 4 stops to make. Who would ever have thought we’d have so much going on that we have to go somewhere almost every day? As far as I know, we shouldn’t have to go anywhere Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Wish me luck with that. You can bet Vince will come up with some reason why we have to go somewhere.
Maybe if I stay in my pajamas all day and don’t put on makeup . . think that might work?

My husband is the same way, he always wants to go to town on Saturday and/or Sunday, so on Sundays I stay in my pajamas, sans makeup for as long as I can just so I don’t have to go to town. After driving 25 miles each way to work, 5 days a week, I count the best weekends as the ones where I never even come close to getting in a car.

Vince is doing his job to keep you from becoming a hermit. Neither Gary or I like to make trips to town, but he tells me only one of us is allowed to be a hermit. I laugh and say that it was the good Lord calling when I got the call to work at the sale barn on Mondays and it was His was of saying I only get to be a hermit 6 days a week.

Judy…your list of Pictures from Trail Cam say error when I click on them and no way to see…BOO HOO. I’ve never had one of your posts do this. Any way to fix it? I sincerely read everything you write except about knitting stuff. Got rid of my knitting needles and all the rest when I learned to quilt…..44 years ago. But I read every word of all your other stories and pictures. Is anyone else having this problem ?

I got the same error message no matter what I tried.

Staying home all the time sounds nice, but it’s not so nice at all when you are stuck there and can’t leave. My husband has always been a real homebody, but he’s been housebound for the past year. He hasn’t left the house except to go to medical appointments, and those have been hit and miss, depending on if I can get him to the car without having him collapse from the pain. He says when he gets better, he just wants to go for a ride and enjoy the scenery since it’s been so long since he’s been able to do that. When he get’s home (he’s been in the hospital for the past week and is going to a rehab facility today), I’ll drive him anywhere he wants to go!!
