Never had it before, but that’s fine. I grew up in New York state in a farming community. Even mild salsa was too spicy for most everyone! ?. I’m afraid just about anything made in the far South would be too spicy for us. I don’t mind a little beat, but Hubby can’t eat any kind of peppers…they make him deathly ill. Enjoy your etouffee! ?

Looks good! If I weren’t busy planning for a retreat weekend, I’d be going through my recipe files for what to make while DH is gone next week! That’s a way to make the separation easier…look at it as an opportunity to eat things he doesn’t like…as he’ll do while I’m gone. It’s all good!

Today I looked for crawfish, crawdads, crayfish up here in NH. Nada. I did find 1/2 lb of langostinos (what are they???) but were precooked and from fresh water in Paraguay. No thank you. Love Etouffee so will check Amazon. They sell everything except puppies and children…….LOL
When you go to Louisiana, do you bring back a mess of crawfish? Or do you have somewhere in Texas to get them. One of my instructors at ASU (Arizona) was Cajun. When he wanted to have a party, he’d take his bait down to the irrigation canals that run through Phoenix and catch all he needed. I always thought that was kind of funny. How did they ever get into those canals in the first place? Would they live in the Colorado and other Arizona rivers?
