You’ll never be able to look at a pomegranate the same after all the blog posts about them. To me, when I see the fruit, it isn’t so exciting and I think they’re awfully hard to eat and they don’t make it easy to extract the juice but the blossoms are amazing.
This one was just beginning to open up and in a few days, it will look like this.
That beautiful bloom is all tucked inside what you see in the first picture and if you look closely at the blossom, you can see the leathery part of the unopened blossom stays attached to the bloom and eventually becomes part of the fruit.
They’re fun to watch grow.
I love spring and all the new growth and blooms.

Spring is one of my favorite times as well. I love pomegranates also! Even with the seeds, I love to just eat them and spit the seeds out in my napkin. I think they are good for you as well.

They are gorgeous – we had two trees on my parents’ place in Tucson. You’re right about the fruit, too. LOL
