When Speck passed away in November, I was gone so Vince had to bury him. We had been expecting that day and Vince had built a sturdy wooden box and screwed it all together so he could be safely buried. We have a bunch of big stones left from when they built this house so Vince placed one for the headstone.
Yesterday I divided up some of my little bulbs and planted them at his stone. I don’t even know what they are .. they were a free gift with something else I ordered. They make tiny little purple blooms. Now, Speck will have pretty flowers.
I know it was time for him to go but I still miss him!

We had to let go of our 14 years old golden retriever the end of February We miss her so much. We have our 13 year old 10pound poodle and he misses her too.

it sure hurts to give them up,even tho we know they have suffered long enough.I have been through it so many times in my 90 years and am now dreading the next one, they are so missed when they go and I say every time I will not get another to get attached to, but living alone I don`t know what I would do without their company and love and devotion.

I have some more bulbs if you need them. I bought some flowers today and I am going to plant them tomorrow. Looks like there will be more cold weather, but nothing under 40 for the next week. Or I hope that is the case!!

Not sure what they are called but they look like the plants I have in my garden. Just a warning if they are, each purple flower that drops with turn into a bulb and new flowers will show up everywhere. It will be beautiful.
