I’ve shown this chicken before but she cracks me up. Every single evening, she looks like this. They all eat everything they can find right before they go into the coop for the night but this one always looks like she’s just about to explode.
If you notice in the above photo, when I’m watering a tree, they’re all out there playing in the water, drinking . . it’s not like they don’t have four different water containers out in the orchard. They can drink from their own waterers but no . . they want to drink the water putting down.
By the time she’s ready to go into the coop, she can barely waddle in. She is so stuffed. I think about the times when I’ve eaten way too much and have to go to bed stuffed. I always say that I’m never doing that again.That has to be uncomfortable. At least I don’t do it every night like she does! She just looks miserable but . . I guess not . . she does the same thing every night.

I don’t know about chicken physiology, so…is that her tummy sticking out of her sides?! It looks like her crop(?) is full, too!
