This sock yarn isn’t or the Sock Society socks but ESK’s second quarter KAL is socks. If we make three pair, we get maximum stars. I’m thinking . . but you know I’ll change my mind over the next quarter . . this is my plan.
Socks #1 – Sock Society Sock #2 – Magnolia Sock. Still not sure which yarn I’ll use.
Socks #2 – Blue Moon’s Tigger Targhee.
Tigger Targhee is springy, bouncy and so very round. It is 100% Targhee Wool (no nylon) and I usually will not use a 100% wool yarn for socks but this yarn is the exception. I have made at least five pairs of socks with this yarn.
Socks #3 – Madelinetosh Twist Light.
I love this green! It’s more vivid than the late night photo. This yarn is 75% merino wool/25% nylon. It’s 400 yards and Madelinetosh no longer puts the weight on their skeins and that aggravates me. I’ll weigh it when I take the band off but I’m betting it’s about 100 grams.
I think my love for the limey green is showing more and more these days.

You are such an “enabler.” I read this entry and the other one about the Sock Society and realized the yarn I was using for ESK quarterly project and was going to use the Society pattern will not play well together. So I just left the ESK site after ordering yarn for the socks. I say thanks for the inspiration. (Doubt that my husband would say the same.
