Look at the blooms on this plant.
This is the plant with the awful thorns and the fruit is more like a sour cherry than it is a tomato. Last year I had two plants in pots and one died. I wish I had planted another one because I only have this one. The blooms are so pretty and I love the fruit but they’re definitely a pain to grow.
When I got the pot where I wanted it yesterday, I had to stake it and tie it up. Even the leaves have thorns on their back sides. There’s nothing inviting about this plant . . except the fruit and even then, I’m usually bleeding by the time I pick a few pieces of the fruit.
Why do I grow it? I have no idea!!

You obviously like a challenge! LOL I grow raspberries and they have some wicked thorns too, although not like what you’re describing. I always look like I lost a fight with a cat when I get done weeding the raspberries…

Those are beautiful , so what recipe do you use them in ? In other words how does one cook, bake or can with them ? Yeppers I am full of questions ..hahahahahaha
