Some of you are still dealing with cold temps but down here in the south, it’s beach weather . . if you’re 5 years old.
She loves looking for shells. I know I say it every time but when I see these pictures of her, I can’t believe she is getting so big.
Every barefoot diva needs long dangly earrings on, right? I first looked at them and thought she had some kind of fishing lure in her ear but .. that’s her earring!
When I saw this picture, I said “Ugh! I don’t think I’d let her be out in that water!” This is off the coast of Louisiana.
Then I looked and saw that Chad was in the water too. When he was a kid, I doubt I ever let him get in that water.
Here’s a funny Addie story. The other day I was talking to Chad and Nicole on the phone. I didn’t even know Addie was paying attention . . she was doing something else. Chad was telling me some story and I said “Chad, that is not true!” I think he had his facts a bit mixed up but he was sure he was right and I was sure he was not. In the end, I said “Chad, you aren’t right about that!” We talked a few minutes more and then, out of the clear blue, Addie said “Granny!” and I said “What, sweetie?” She said “Dad is right!” I said “About what?” She said “About what y’all were talking about!” Like she knew anything about it . . but he was right!
How’s that for a daddy’s girl. No matter what happens, no matter who else is in the conversation, daddy is always right! 🙂

At this age, he’s right. But just wait a few years. Hahaha.

Aw, I love hearing about your “daddy’s girl.” I know a new baby that will probably be a daddy’s girl, too. I hope she’s as much fun to watch grow up as Addie!

She definitely doesn’t mind getting dirty, does she? I loved her dangly earrings! I don’t think I’d have been in that water, though; at least, no more than my feet.
