One of my friends, who apparently hates me, sent me a link to this pattern – Early Morning Mist. I like the design. I think it looks very wearable.
There isn’t a whole lot of DK weight yarn in my stash but I did order three skeins of the Three Irish Girls, Springvale DK yarn in the March exclusive colorway at ESK. I ordered it on March 1 so it isn’t like I ordered it just for this progress but . . who cares any more? Oh . . yes . . Vince cares. He has his budget that he’s totally not following but let yarn pass through that mail box and I’m bankrupting the family to hear him tell it! Feel sorry for me yet? 🙂
After I ordered that yarn, I thought . . why did I order DK? I don’t use a lot of DK weight yarn and when I do, it’s mostly solid-ish.
I guess I’ll have to show a little self discipline and make a swatch before I start this. I don’t want it to be striped. I can see this yarn working but I can also see it not working. Yep . . I’ll have to swatch . . darn it! Or, maybe I can come up with something else in the stash. I’ll keep looking or .. maybe I’ll swatch.

So glad to know someone who can make a decision with the same process I use….or is it a true process? Maybe it’s more like luck of the draw. No, I can do it after all options are weighed….I think that’s how it works.

That design looks wonderful for just throwing on! And that might be a great showcase for that colorful yarn. Gosh, it’s just to bad your friend “hates” you, isn’t it?

I don’t hate you – just like to share my trips down the rabbit hole:) I like the yarn – I’ll be watching for the swatch. I have a couple options – no decision yet.
