If I spent half as much time knitting as I do searching for the perfect yarn I’d get a heck of a lot more done. It’s days like today that I wish I had zero stash and I ordered everything as needed but that’s not my nature. The pattern is called Impressionist and it’s kind of a take on impressionist paintings. Since I love Irises, I chose Van Gogh’s Irises.
This is the yarn I intend to use.
The yarn is Hedgehog Skinny Singles and the colors, left to right, are: Potluck, Medusa and Electric.
The first clue will be released March 31 so I still have a week in which to change my mind!

Those look like the perfect yarns first time out. Today I would be very happy with my stash and the choice I made. It will be beautiful

Don’t change you mind! These are beautiful together!
Kathleen says
Love that yarn. I love Van Gogh too.

I’ve had those wistful thoughts about zero stash and genuinely needing new yarn for each project…and then I’ve had the times where there’s no cash or time to shop for yarn and I’ve come to the conclusion that stash beyond life expectancy isn’t a bad thing at all.

I just finished the Winter Rose socks from Curious Handmade, the new pattern comes out next week. I can’t take on another project, so hard to resist… I’ll just have to live vicariously through yours, LOL. Your yarn choices are perfect!

That almost makes me wish I knitted.

Those are beautiful together! (I’ll bet that’s why you bought them.) I can certainly see the influence of Van Gogh’s irises in your choice.
Did you really choose these without going through many different possibilities? That means it was meant to be.

Wow! Your yarn colors are gorgeous! I’m really looking forward to seeing what you’ll knit with those.
Maggie says
Love the colors you’ve chosen. I have sworn off mysteries because I tend to never finish them. I do better if I wait and see the pattern and then make it once the mystery is revealed.

Beautiful….perfect yarn….
