It isn’t like I’m ever doing anything illegal or wrong, ethically or morally, but Vince being home . . things are different. He is watching for yarn packages to arrive. So far, none have arrived. I do believe he thought yarn arrived every single day.
Yesterday we left the hospital after the colonoscopy. I wasn’t feeling bad but I wasn’t feeling like shopping either. We went to eat. It was 10:15 when we left the hospital. We couldn’t decide where to go. Most of the restaurants that I like are not breakfast restaurants and don’t open til 11. I was thinking halfway healthy but I hadn’t had any food in going on 40 hours and I was beginning to want anything! He wanted here . . I wanted there . . we decided on Mexican. How’s that for NOT healthy? We got there and the Mexican restaurant is closed on Tuesday. Someone had mentioned that months ago but I forgot. Then we rattled off places . . we couldn’t agree on anything. We ended up at Whataburger. Not my choice.
Then the real struggle began.
Vince: Do you mind if we stop at Home Depot? I have something to return.
Me: No, I’ll just wait in the car.
He went in, returned what he needed to return and we were on our way . . almost!
Vince: Do you need anything from Walmart?
Me: Nothing I can think of.
Vince: Do you need anything from United?
Me: Nothing I can think of!
Vince: Tomatoes, salad stuff, meat?
Me: No. I think I just want to go home.
Vince: How about Aldi? Want to go there and walk around? The doctor said you need to get up and walk a bit every couple of hours.
Me: I’ll walk a bit at home.
Vince: We can go to Aldi and leave if you feel like leaving.
Me: I do.not.want.to.go.anywhere!
Then on the way home . .
Vince: Can you make meatloaf for dinner?
Me: Doubtful. Any ground meat I have is frozen (besides . . I wasn’t planning on cooking anything!)
Vince: I knew we should have gone to Aldi.
Me: Why would we buy ground meat when we have plenty in the freezer? I’ll make meatloaf tomorrow.
On our way to the hospital, I had asked to go to The Runaway Train and have lunch after we left the hospital but I wasn’t planning on leaving there before the restaurants were open so about 3 p.m., Vince asked if I’d like to run down to The Runaway Train for lunch. Yes! That works. In the end, we went where I wanted to eat and today, we’re having meatloaf!
We’re both happy . . we both got what we wanted. Except he didn’t get to go shopping!

That sounds like traveling with my husband. We pull out of the garage for a two hour drive and he wants to know where we are going to eat as we back out of the garage.

My husband is asking what are we going to have for supper and we are eating breakfast. Anytime we go out and I mean every time he figures we should eat out since we are out and then comes the decision as to where. I’m like you, I would rather stay home.

I guess HE’s feeling a lot better this week! LOL I’m glad you finally got something that you wanted to eat. What kind of food does the Runaway Train serve? It sounds like fun, so I hope you aren’t going to tell me it’s a fish restaurant. LOL
